How Should Lined Ball Valve Be Inspected And Maintained On A Daily Basis?
Lined Ball Valve require routine inspection and maintenance after a period of operation. Failure to maintain ball valves in a timely manner can lead to disrepair, leakage, or malfunction. Failure to regularly inspect and pressure test ball valves, or even years of use without cleaning, pressure testing, and technical inspection, can lead to debris deposits within the valve, resulting in loose closures and severe oil leakage and blowby. Failure to close the V-type ball valve after inspection, or failure to seal the pipe opening after disassembly, or the use of non-oil-resistant and non-pressure-resistant ball valve flange gaskets, can also lead to frequent valve inspections to prevent potential problems.
Main inspection areas for V-type ball valves:
1. Check for leaks in the dynamic seal and static seal of the flange gasket;
2. Check for normal opening and closing conditions;
3. Check for damage to the valve body, leakage, or other abnormalities;
4. Turn the normally open or closed valve 1-2 turns or perform a lift test;
5. Lubricate the valve stem of the normally open or closed valve;
6. Inspect and adjust the power unit and electrical system of the pneumatic valve.
