Matters Needing Attention In The Application Of Ptfe Lined Valves

Lined Valve is a type of valve. Its price is lower than that of corrosion-resistant stainless steel valves and Hastelloy valves, but its application range is wider. In some highly corrosive media that metal valves cannot be used for, PTFE-lined valves can be used. No matter what kind of valve it is, it must be used reasonably. Below, we briefly introduce the issues that need to be paid attention to in the application.
1. The lining of the PTFE-lined valve is fluoroplastic. There are many types of fluoroplastics, such as F46 plastic. The medium temperature used must not exceed 150 degrees Celsius, but the suitable temperature is around 120 degrees Celsius, otherwise some parts of the valve will soften and deform, resulting in the valve not being able to close and the leakage will increase. Different fluoroplastic materials are also suitable for different medium temperatures. When choosing, it should be considered according to the actual working conditions.
2. There should be no negative pressure when the PTFE-lined valve is installed in the pipeline, so as to avoid the fluoroplastic lining in the inner cavity of the valve being sucked out, resulting in failure of the valve opening and closing.
3. PTFE-lined valves cannot be used for media with particles, impurities, etc., so as to avoid wear of the valve core during the opening and closing process.
4. The regulating valve in the PTFE lined valve needs to select the diameter according to the flow rate, so as to better improve the service life of the valve.
