Advantages
1. Dual Block and Bleed Function: The trunnion-mounted ball valve utilizes a spring-loaded floating seat. Whether the Lined Ball Valve is fully open or fully closed, the upstream and downstream seats block the flow, allowing retained fluid in the valve body cavity to be discharged through the bleed valve.
2. Automatic Pressure Relief Function: When the temperature of the retained medium in the valve body cavity rises, causing abnormal pressure rise, the valve seat function automatically relieves the pressure without requiring a safety valve. This is crucial for ensuring the safety of the valve when conveying liquid media.
3. Fire Safety Structure: All valves are fire-safe and designed and manufactured in accordance with API 607 and API 6FA specifications.
Disadvantages
1. Emergency Grease Rescue: In the event of accidental seat seal failure due to foreign matter in the medium or fire, the grease injection valve provides a quick-connect grease gun. An imported pump quickly and easily injects sealing grease into the seat seal to alleviate leakage. 2. Reliable stem seal and low operating torque: In addition to the standard sealing ferrule, the packing gland also features an O-ring seal, ensuring dual sealing for a reliable stem seal. Graphite packing and sealing grease injection minimize stem leakage after a fire. Stem sliding bearings and thrust bearings ensure easy valve operation.
3. Full-bore or reduced-bore configurations: Full-bore or reduced-bore configurations are available as needed. The flow aperture of a full-bore valve aligns with the pipeline ID, facilitating easy pipeline cleaning.
4. Extendable stem: The valve stem can be extended to meet installation or operational requirements. Extended-stem ball valves are particularly suitable for applications requiring buried pipelines, such as city gas. The extended stem size is determined by customer needs.
5. Flexible operation: Low-friction, self-lubricating valve seats and stem bearings significantly reduce operating torque. This ensures smooth and flexible valve operation even without sealing grease.
