What Is A Lined Ball Valve?
The ball of a floating ball valve floats. Under the influence of the medium pressure, the ball can move a certain distance and press against the sealing surface at the outlet, ensuring a tight seal.
Lined Ball Valve have a simple structure and good sealing performance. However, the load of the working medium on the ball is entirely transferred to the outlet sealing ring. Therefore, the sealing ring material must be able to withstand the working load of the ball. Under high pressure shocks, the ball may deflect. This structure is generally used for medium and low-pressure ball valves.
The main features of ball valves are their compact structure, reliable sealing, simple structure, and easy maintenance. The sealing surface and the ball surface are always in a closed state, which is not easily eroded by the medium. They are easy to operate and maintain. They are suitable for general working media such as water, solvents, acids, and natural gas. They are also suitable for media with harsh working conditions such as oxygen, hydrogen peroxide, methane, and ethylene. They are widely used in various industries. Ball valve bodies can be either one-piece or modular.
