Lined Valve Introduction

The water pump coupler is a firefighting device designed for high-rise buildings in accordance with the "High-Rise Building Fire Protection Code." It is typically connected to the building's automatic sprinkler system or the water supply system for firefighting equipment, such as fire hydrants. In the event of a fire, the fire truck's water pump can be quickly and conveniently connected to the building's firefighting equipment through the coupler's interface, pumping water and increasing pressure. This ensures that the firefighting equipment inside the building receives sufficient pressurized water to extinguish fires on different floors. This effectively solves the problem of fire trucks having difficulty extinguishing a building fire or the firefighting equipment inside the building being unable to extinguish the fire due to a lack of pressurized water.

Coupons are categorized by mounting type as above-ground, underground, wall-mounted, or multi-purpose.

Product Selection

1) The specifications should be selected based on the design: wall-mounted, above-ground, underground, or multi-purpose.

2) The mounting location should be clearly marked, the valve should be easily accessible, and there should be no obstructions near the coupler. 3) The safety valve should be set to the system operating pressure to prevent damage to indoor piping and components caused by over-pressurization by fire trucks. The coupler should be equipped with a drain valve.

Construction and Installation
1) The test pressure is uniformly set at 1.5 times the operating pressure, but not less than 0.6 MPa. This facilitates inspection and meets project requirements.
2) To ensure smooth piping and prevent damage to fire hydrants caused by impurities, welding slag, etc., the firefighting pipes should be flushed.
3) The safety valve of the fire pump coupler should be set to a pressure setting (the set pressure value should be specified by the design). After setting, the system should ensure a full water column of 10-15 meters at the highest group of fire hydrants.
4) The location of the fire pump coupler and fire hydrant should be clearly marked, and the hydrant openings should be conveniently located to highlight their functionality and ensure quick operation. For outdoor fire pump couplers and outdoor fire hydrants, the center of the inlet and outlet should be installed 1.1 meters above the ground for ease of operation. Because the bolt mouth is directly located on the outer wall of the building, it must be close to the building during operation. In order to ensure the safety of firefighters' operation, it is emphasized that there must be measures to prevent falling objects from hitting from above.
