Lined Globe Valve has a plug-shaped disc with a flat or conical sealing surface. The disc moves linearly along the centerline of the valve seat. The valve stem can move in either a non-rising stem or a rising stem. A globe valve is one in which the closing element (disc) moves along the centerline of the valve seat.

Gate valves are manufactured by Fanggong Valve in my country. Due to this disc movement, the change in seat opening is directly proportional to the disc travel. Therefore, this type of shutoff globe valve is ideal for shutoff, regulation, and throttling. Because the stem opening and closing strokes are relatively short and the valve provides a highly reliable shutoff function, and because the change in seat opening is directly proportional to the disc travel, this valve is well-suited for flow regulation. A globe valve, also known as a gate valve, is a forced-seal valve. Therefore, when the valve is closed, pressure must be applied to the disc to prevent leakage. When the medium enters the valve from below the disc, the resistance that the operating force must overcome is a combination of the friction between the valve stem and packing and the thrust generated by the medium's pressure. The force required to close the valve is greater than the force required to open it, so the valve stem diameter must be larger.

Cast Iron Threaded Globe Valve

Valve stem bending occurs. Connections are categorized into three types: flanged, threaded, and welded. Since the advent of self-sealing valves, the flow direction of globe valves has shifted from above the disc to enter the valve cavity. Under the influence of the medium's pressure, the closing force is reduced, while the opening force is increased, allowing the stem diameter to be reduced accordingly. Furthermore, this type of valve is more airtight under the influence of the medium. my country's "Three Standards" for valves stipulate that the flow direction of globe valves must always be from top to bottom. When a globe valve is open, the disc's opening height reaches 25% to 30% of its nominal diameter, indicating maximum flow and full open position. Therefore, the fully open position of a globe valve is determined by the disc's travel. Working Principle
The globe valve, also known as a stop valve, is one of the most widely used valves. Its popularity stems from its low friction between the sealing surfaces during opening and closing, its durability, its narrow opening height, its ease of manufacture, and its convenient maintenance. It is suitable for both low and medium pressures, as well as high pressures. The closing principle of a globe valve is that the valve stem pressure forces the disc sealing surface to tightly contact the seat sealing surface, preventing the flow of media.
