Use Of Fluoroplastic Lined Valves
Lined Valve are expensive and operate in harsh environments, often exposed to toxic and hazardous chemicals, highly corrosive acids, alkalis, and organic solvents. Improper use can result in significant economic losses and serious consequences. Proper valve use and maintenance can extend the valve's service life, prevent accidents, and ensure the normal operation of pipelines. Therefore, several important points must be observed during use:
1. Carefully read the product instruction manual before use.
2. Use within the pressure, temperature, and operating medium ranges specified on the nameplate or in the instructions.
3. During use, prevent excessive pipe stress caused by temperature fluctuations. Minimize temperature fluctuations as much as possible and install U-shaped expansion joints before and after the valve.
4. Do not use a lever to open and close the valve. Observe the valve's opening and closing indicator and stopper. Once fully opened and closed, do not force the valve closed again to prevent premature damage to the fluoroplastic sealing surface.
5. For valves used in pipelines with toxic, flammable, explosive, or highly corrosive media, it is strictly forbidden to replace the packing while the valve is under pressure.
6. Fluoroplastic-lined valves generally do not include gaskets at the flange. 7. If the handle or handwheel is not flexible or cannot open and close the valve, loosen the gland nut appropriately.
